More operational readiness level in Berlin and Brussels
(openPR) - the general association textil+mode (t+m) decided on its annual members' meeting that the head office of the federation is Berlin. At the latest to autumn 2009 the removal will take place. After the constitution of Berlin as Federal Capital the kind of the political lobbying on national level changed crucially. „A short term operational readiness level of the central associations is just as necessarily, as a continuous work on the main location “, like that Dr. Wolf-Rüdiger Baumann, Hauptgeschäftsführer of t+m.
Berlin is besides a traditional and also modern, creative mode city. Filters specialized mode schools and over 800 textile and mode designers work in Berlin, numerous fashion fairs take place here annually. As a representative of the industry it is indispensable therefore that the roof federation will be in the future part of this creative center of the German textile and mode world.
Furthermore the general association plans for 2007 to strengthen its representative office in Brussels in order to represent the interests of the industry - e.g. with questions of the foreign trade policy - also on European level. „Europe plays an increasingly important role for our industry. Therefore I regard it as our task to bring up for discussion the interests of the textile and mode industry still more strongly directly locally in Brussels “, like that Peter Schwartze, Präsident of t+m. the German textile and mode industry am an economically meaning industry - this makes the direct proximity of the federation necessary for the policy. Only locally contacts can be attached and maintained, in order to exercise in such a way in the interest of our land and professional associations still in former times influence on the political level.

The general association of the German textile and mode industry registered association represents this industry in economics, social and tariff-political questions. Altogether approx. 400,000 employees, busy of it more than 120,000 in Germany, are in the textile and mode industry. The general association is member Federal Employers Association and the BDI. On European level the membership in the European roof federation of the textile and the clothing industry, Euratex insists.
