The 26-jährige Sebastian from Osnabrück summarizes that quite simply: “Gammelfleisch is in all mouth, except in those from vegetarians.” And as it think ever more young humans and hear on meat to eat. One day them is dedicated, is 1 October - the world vegetarian day.

“One should use this day, over the advantages of a vegetarian nutrition for humans to stress for the animals and for the environment and around alternatives to meat admits to make.” the 17-jährige Tilman H says. from Ettlingen. He is founder of the vebu4you-Gruppe Karlsruhe.

The chief of the country wide vebu4you-Projekts, Mandy Kritz, wants to support the young people vegetarians not only on 1 October: “The youth is a time, in which much about the life, in that one is thought things criticized and analyzed. In this time many young humans make the conscious decision for a vegetarian nutrition. To support I see it therein in creative and various way as my task in the vebu4you-Projekt.”

On initiative of the North American vegetarians organization (North American Vegetarian Society) at the congress of world vegetarian in Scotland 1977 1 of October as a world vegetarian day one proclaimed. Since that time vegetarians celebrate everywhere in the world this day each year.
