(openPR) - study: PR passes frequently needs of building and living magazines
Munich (31 January 2007) - the press work of many enterprises to building and living topics corresponds to the requirements of important public magazines only insufficiently. That is the central result of the Special Interest study „building & living “the resident of Munich ComMenDo agency for enterprise communication. „Many press texts are too long, pictorial material are missing or are not not printable, and with more than half of all press ranges in the Internet the journalist looks for some points of criticism in vain for a partner “, summarizes agency owner Michael Bürker. 20 Special Interest media with emphasis were examined „building & living “as well as the press ranges 20 enterprises, for which this medium segment is interesting.
On average the examined titles cover 105 sides, of it 18 per cent of indicator sides. Editorial contents consist to 36 per cent of text and to 64 per cent of photos. More than half of all articles are product messages. Councellor messages take a quarter and scarcely to each fifth article are a report.
Differently the picture on enterprise side: Only with two of the examined press ranges in the Internet messages beyond product and enterprise topics were offered. „Shaping chances remain here unused “, find Bürker. Finally in more than 80 per cent of the articles at least one enterprise was called - and do not only lengthen in product messages.
Many enterprises leave a shortening to the editorships
While scarcely half of all magazine articles has less than 1,000 indications, short texts on enterprise side are nil return. Two thirds of the press releases lay between 1.000 and 2.500 indications, in magazines are it straight times sieved per cent.
Scarcely 40 per cent of the enterprise texts has more than 2,500 indications. Here the portion was in the media also about 47 per cent, however these texts were only rare exclusive messages. „The enterprises leave a shortening of their texts to the editorships “, bring it to Bürker on the point. Perhaps that fell despite publication central messages of the senders to the victim.
Magazines: Practically no article without photo
Contrary to enterprises magazines do not geizen with photos. Per booklet on average 280 pictures are used, that are more than six per article. Less than two per cent of the articles gets along without photo. On enterprise side another picture: Only 60 per cent at all printable pictorial material in the Internet, on the average publish enterprises per press release offer to 1.5 photos.
