A similar scientific and cultural movement in its bloom stood approximately at the same time in the Maghreb and in Andalusien. It brought Ibn out Zuhr, which one knows in the west as Avenzoar. It wrote many valuable medical books, for example over kidney diseases or food. It published also a dispensatory of the plants. Its Kitab aluminium-Teyssir filmudawat wa-t-tadbir, in the west briefly aluminium-Teyssir mentioned, remains however its most important work, which treats practically all medical topics.
