BUGA stops solar pavilion

(openPR) - highlight for Bundesgartenschau 2007 in Gera and Ronneburg is not built - now second refusal; first refusal because of clash of interest with energy company - solar pavilion is now to Berlin

Briefly before signing of the agreement the Bundesgartenschau GmbH stopped the building of the solar pavilion - without indication of a sound reason. The solar pavilion was planned as highlight for the expected 1.6 millions BUGA visitors: modern pavilion architecture with solar energy should be platziert in relation to the former uranium ore mining industry that bismuth. The solar pavilion is a project of the Gröschel_Geheeb_ Responsible Branding GmbH. The innovative pavilion was developed in co-operation with the Viennese architect Stefan Pfefferle and should be presented as info. pavilion on the BUGA 2007. For the cover of the financing the agency had won renowned enterprises from the range solar technology, Ökostrom and glass production as sponsor partner.

In July 2006 the Bundesgartenschau GmbH had already once stopped the project. At that time one referred to an existing clash of interest of the Ökostromsponsors with a large energy company, which appeared as a sponsor of the Bundesgartenschau. After settlement of this conflict the treaty negotiations at the end of of August were again taken up. “The current refusal meets us from cheerful sky”, said managing director Lothar Gröschel. “We stood before the signing of the agreement, and the assignment of all planning and construction work had already prepared.” Five months one worked in vain for it now.

But the citizens of Berlin idea ideenschmiede has already new plans. “We want to bring the solar pavilion into the capital, and to a Hotspot for solarinterested and tourist”, say Lothar Gröschel develop. Now the agency looks for a suitable building site for the pavilion with the unusual Design.
