Liberalisation takes time
(openPR) - Berlin, 29 September 2006. New offerers criticize the slow liberalisation of the German gas market. The past rules are insufficient and make no surface covering supply possible by new offerers. The law to the Durchleitung of gas is not so far converted.
The FlexGas GmbH practices therefore violent criticism at the current situation. „That is a mini liberalisation “, says FlexGas managing director Robert Mundt. The monopoly structures on the German gas market are not existent still, a fair and free competition give it. In the consequence the customers still pay superelevated prices.
The so-called entry exit model is since 1 February 2006 in Germany law, finds at present however no conversion. The network carriers missed it so far to agree upon uniform regulations to the Durchleitung from gas to. Therefore it is possible to 1 October only in isolated cities to change the servicer. „With competition that has still nothing to do at present “, says Mundt. Because the valid law is not used, also concerning the price yet much movement on the German gas market is not to be felt.
FlexGas formulates the requirement to go as country wide offerers into the market and guarantees to all customers a lowering of the gas costs around at least 5% in relation to the prices of the past servicer. „The market liberalisation is to be worthwhile itself particularly for the customers “, so Mundt. The consumers can secure themselves already in the Internet under www.FlexGas.de this clear price advantage. Thus they set also an indication of more competition and accelerate the liberalisation of the market. „Our experience unfortunately shows that on the energy markets only a fair competition develops if pressure is exerted on the former monopolists “, says FlexGas managing director Mundt.
