The action education lock-up receives a donation from the UPS Foundation at a value of 80.000 US Dollar

v.l.n.r.: Hans Peter Teufers, Director Public Affairs with UPS; Joachim Bartz, acting partner and initiator education lock-up gGmbH; Kind of hitting a corner R. feast, undersecretary of state for education, science and research (openPR) - the action education lock-up supports 720 citizens of Berlin basic pupils with a write promotion. The write promotion project with 80,000 US Dollar donation of the UPS Foundation is financed.

The action education lock-up and its initiator Joachim Bartz made it it's duty to make schools in Germany learning and teach-more worth by it to private commitment in the form of money, special or service donations to call and these unbureaucratically at schools with need to obtain. The write advancement program „letters makes makes happy (n) de “is a further step of the education lock-ups to help the German schools. The write promotion is to work against above all the loss on promotion hours. The writeweak pupils stand thereby in the foreground. After first discussions in the summer of the past yearly the UPS Foundation for a support of the write promotion project could be won. The UPS Foundation was created 1951 and has its seat in Atlanta/USA. It supports in particular reading and write training programs, which place adults and children a basic knowledge. The cheque is presented by Hans Peter Teufers, Director Public Affairs with UPS, at education lock-ups. The citizen of Berlin undersecretary of state for education, science and research, kind of hitting a corner R. feast, receives the cheque, on behalf as a representative for all citizens of Berlin schools, of education lock-up. To the topic social commitment speaks Dr. Michael Bürsch, member federal daily and chairmen of the Enquete commission “future of the Bürgerschaftlichen commitment”. Jessica Witte winter, Kuratoriumsmitglied of education lock-up, takes over the presentation of the meeting. The cheque delivery takes place on Friday, 23 February 2007 in the Chamisso primary school in Berlin Reinickendorf.

Numerous citizens of Berlin primary schools have themselves in the last weeks for the write promotion programme „letters make make happy (n) de “applied. After evaluation of the applications and a preselection in the lot procedure ten schools were determined, which participate in the write advancement program 2007/2008.

The write advancement program supports the participating schools during the period of one school year. Each school are available weekly 6 promotion hour, which is realized at a school day. In groups of up to six children trained Coaches deals with the write problems of the pupils. After the first half-year of the write promotion the groups of pupils are again formed. The promotion began on 12 February 2007 with the second school half-year and runs up to winter holidays 2008.
