ContentServ presents version 5.0 on the CeBIT

Logo CeBIT (openPR) - Wolnzach, 28.02.07 - like always much has itself done with ContentServ in the last months, and so the version 5.0 the CS EMMS Suite, into which on the CeBIT a view is granted for the first time, with numerous novelties offers. Among other things the CS MAM Suite, the new Media ate management solution of ContentServ presented, in addition the advancement of the CS Creation Suite as well as the conversion to PHP 5. Are presented the novelties of 15. up to 21. March on the CeBIT in resounds to 3, conditions D39.

Medium management redefines

The ContentServ GmbH is coined/shaped of constant dynamics and this beginning reflects themselves also in the products. Thus the CS Media Suite is replaced by the CS MAM Suite, which opens new possibilities of the medium administration with extensive functionalities. For example over volumes so mentioned distant data sources can be tied up. Thus a smooth integration is created into the IT-landscape of the enterprises. The moreover one the binding is made by a driver architecture, which permits the support of arbitrary local drive assemblies, a Linux of Samba server or also a WebDAV server. Further drivers, e.g. for the file of media in data bases or a binding over ftp are beyond that conceivable. In addition already in the CS PMS Suite worked principle of the transmission and characteristic configuration integrated. This makes it possible to assign to a medium further individual characteristics which improves transparency enormously. Additionally to the CS MAM Suite an own programming interface (API) for system integrators and module developer one publishes.

Advancement of the CS Creation Suite

The constant development of ContentServ does not make also before the newest system Suite stop. On the Adobe InDesign server technology which is based CS Creation Suite show up with new features, which are to arrange communication of medium processes and a publishing of print products still more efficient. The integration of CRM objects like e.g. Usern makes it possible in the future to insert data from the CRM system into InDesign documents. For example visiting cards can be provided thereby fast and easy, without compromises to the layout. The treatment of Textframes over the Adobe InDesign server was changed over to the Adobe InCopy interface. Thus the CS Creation Suite offers more compatibility to the standard interfaces of Adobe. From it further possibilities, e.g. the assumption of local formatting, tables or pictures in the text river result.

ContentServ sets 5 on PHP and SOAP

With the version 5.0 PHP 5 becomes the platform of the system. Thus many new features of PHP 5 become effective also into the CS EMMS Suite of ContentServ and safety aspects are better considered. A lasting safety device of the support speak likewise for the conversion.
The CS EMMS Suite offers an SOAP interface for Web services in the new version for the first time also. The standardized interface makes it possible, automated business processes, how e.g. an extended data alignment with SAP to offer.
