The world to guest in Lillehammer Rally WM 15. - 18. Feburar 2007

Henning Solberg, copyright Rally Norway (openPR) - several hundred-from-one hundred spectators from all world on the occasion of the Rally world championships from 15. 18 February 2007 in Lillehammer and Hamar (Norway) are expected. The Norwegian Minister of State Jens Stoltenberg will officially open the Rally in the evening 15 of February (Thursday) on the Stortorget in Hamar. In the same evening the well-known volume “Briskeby” plays with the front singer Lise Karlsnes at the point to the prelude in the Håkons resounds in Lillehammer. The whole world elite of the Rallysports will be met locally, with the prominent world champion Sebastian Loeb at the point, together with the Norwegians Petter and Henning Solberg as well as the own card reader from Lillehammer Cate Menkerud.

The Lysgårdsbakken jump arena in Lillehammer will be thereby main arena for the sporty part on Saturday. Running starts at the east end of the Birkebeiner ski stadium and leads thereafter with rapid speed by the selbige stadium, continues to run then over the VIP way and by the stadium of the ski jump plant, where it will then end to the Skisprungschanze.

The Rally WM Norway hopes for record participation. So far 79 starting are registered, 29 of these start in the WRC class. All large well-known teams participate.

Overnight accomodation capacities nearly blown up
In the apron of the Rally WM nearly all free overnight accomodation capacities in the region Lillehammer and Hamar were booked directly by the organizers and their teams. Therefore Rally Norway can guarantee also no free overnight accomodation place and asks therefore interested the overnight accomodation enterprises to contact directly.
